The Big Difference between us and the British International Schools

We are a small private traditional independent day school providing the very best educational start for all children from the ages of 6 months to 6 years following both the renowned Montessori Method of Education and the English National Curriculum with an understanding of the Spanish language and culture.

As a small school specialising only in younger children, we are able to get to know each and every child as an individual, quickly determining his or her strengthens and weaknesses, their unique and special personalities and their interests out of school. This enables us to gain their confidence therby helping us to ultimately acheive the educational requirements as laid down within the English National Curriculum and to assist us in fostering an independent, confident and socially skilled individual for the future.

We also place a great importance in providing a safe, happy, friendly community for the children, parents and the staff as this further encourages the children to feel completely at ease which in turn helps them not only to give their greatest learning potential and but also to acquire an early sense of social responsibility. It is frequently found (and actively encouraged) that the older children will help their younger peers without adult intervention with a particular learning exercise or a social skill, for example carrying their plate at lunch time or tying their shoes laces.

The above are just two examples of how the principals and philosophies of Marie Montessori are used to underpin our school unlike the bigger International Schools situated along the Costa del Sol, the majority of which cater for children upto the age of 16 -18 years.
